Case Study – Reimagining life insurance for a younger generation

CONTEXT

Munich Re set out to develop a new digital product that would make life insurance accessible to a younger audience (ages 20–45).

CHALLENGE

The key challenge: How can a financial product appear modern and appealing while still maintaining trust and credibility?

APPROACH

As UX Design Director & Product Manager, I led an interdisciplinary team of 20 members. We developed a comprehensive UX strategy, conducted continuous usability testing, and focused on high-quality microinteractions, illustration design, and precise microcopy to create an engaging and trustworthy experience.

SOLUTION

A mobile app that simplifies complex financial topics, delivers clarity through thoughtful design, and creates a delightful user experience.

IMPACT

The project set a new benchmark for digital insurance products, enhanced Munich Re’s brand perception, and demonstrated that even complex financial products can be designed to be intuitive and emotionally engaging.
